Introduction

If you don't sleep well, you don't perform well.

Introduction

If you don't sleep well, you don't perform well.

Performance in sleep is performance for life. We developed the Sleep Performance Institute to provide the training and tools needed to improve sleep. Our goal is to help individuals and organizations seeking better performance — at work, at play, or on stage.

Sleep is a core pillar of wellness, yet most people sleep poorly. This leads to health problems for individuals, productivity issues for companies, and poor game-day performance for athletes.

With a combined 40 years of experience in training health professionals and in treating patients with sleep problems, we’ve created a tailored program that successfully improves sleep and health without the use of drugs or medical devices.

Let us help you and your organization perform better in sleep and in life.

Our programs

CORPORATE

We provide the tools to help employees maximize sleep, health, and performance. Our proven program increases employees' ability to problem-solve, heightens daytime alertness, improves camaraderie, boosts attendance, and reduces work-related injuries. When employees sleep better, they perform better.
In our customized program, we:

  1. Assess current state of sleep with pre-presentation screening tools
  2. Offer an engaging and informative multimedia presentation on sleep and bio-rhythm (circadian) health
  3. Deliver sleep improvement strategies for employees
  4. Offer onsite follow-up group visits and assessments
  5. Provide feedback for clients regarding challenges and opportunities to enhance performance and outcomes through our data analysis

In our corporate program, we work with midsize and large businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, school districts, and municipal and state governments.

ATHLETIC

The Sleep Performance Institute helps athletes and coaches at the college, professional, and Olympic levels achieve greater performance by optimizing their sleep and circadian (biological) rhythms. Our program has been shown to increase split-second reaction times, speed, quickness, and overall athletic performance. In our program, we:

  1. Review the effects of sleep on player performance
  2. Introduce sleep training
  3. Help identify players and coaches with sleep disorders and suboptimal sleep, and then develop strategies to manage these problems
  4. Work with coaches to optimize practice time and make day-night personnel decisions
  5. Provide guidance to coaches and administrative staff on creating travel routines that minimize the negative effects of cross-timezone travel
  6. Offer guidance to medical staff on treating athletes recovering from concussions, given the importance of sleep in head-injury recovery
  7. Provide follow-up sessions to monitor and offer feedback to coaches and athletes to enhance their athletic performance as well as their long-term health and wellness
